The Balmar 621 alternators have a single foot mounting which can be either a 1″ ‘Motorola’ or 2″ ‘Delco’ type depending on whether the insert is used or not. They are mainly found on smaller Volvo Penta engines such as the 2001 and 2002.
Although the Balmar 6 series comes fitted with an internal regulator, to achieve maximum output and performance, they should be used in combination with a ‘smart’ regulator, such as the MC-614 or MC-624 (if using on a 24V system).
All Balmar 621 series alternators can be supplied with either a Dual VV, K6, or J10 serpentine pulley. The 70 and 100A models can also be supplied with a Single V.
